・About the fabric
A special herringbone-patterned wool-cotton blend fabric produced in Aichi Prefecture.
Stovaigh has re-engineered and reconstructed the warp and weft yarns based on manufacturing methods passed down through a long-established textile factory founded in the 20th century.
Furthermore, a special washing process in Gifu Prefecture creates a unique napped texture, adding even more softness and elegance to the texture of the cotton and woolen yarn.
・About the lining (nouchi exclusive)
For this nouchi exclusive, the lining uses "Mountain Dye" silk. Mountain Dye is an ancient dyeing technique passed down by the Dong ethnic minority living in Guizhou Province, China. They collect plants from the mountains and fields and use them to dye their clothes. Stovaigh visited them and entrusted them with silk from the designer's hometown of Sichuan, asking them to dye it using this ancient technique solely for the lining of this piece.

A classic double-breasted coat.
The collar and pockets feature a tasteful cut-off finish, and the copper buttons are hammered one by one by hand by the Stovaigh team.
