A brand by Ren Jie and You Zi, based in Hangzhou, China.
After studying dyeing and weaving at the China Academy of Art, they visited ethnic minority villages in the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, exploring and inheriting ancient Chinese plant dyeing techniques such as dioscorea dyeing and tea dyeing.
At the same time, they encountered "Xiangyunsha" (Gambiered Canton Gauze), an intangible cultural heritage fabric, during their travels and reconstructed it using a unique method that breathes new life into the ancient cloth.
The traces of hand-stitching that remain in places
are not only evidence of the warmth of the makers,
but also create a quiet dialogue with the wearer.
When fabrics that transcend time and tell stories connecting eras meet bodies living in the present,
what emerges is not just clothing, but the stories themselves, passed down through generations.
