・About the fabric

While much of the world's corduroy is efficiently produced on high-speed looms, this wool corduroy is carefully woven over time on low-speed looms in Aichi Prefecture. Furthermore, factories capable of performing the "cutting process" for wool corduroy in Japan are so rare that there are fewer than two. After weaving, a special washing process creates delicate wrinkles on the surface, resulting in a soft and smooth texture.

・About the lining (nouchi exclusive)

This time, as a nouchi exclusive, the lining uses silk dyed with "Mountain dye." Mountain dye is an ancient dyeing technique passed down by the Dong ethnic minority living in Guizhou Province, China. They collect plants from the mountains and fields and use them to dye their clothes. Stovaigh visited them and entrusted them with silk from the designer's hometown of Sichuan, commissioning this ancient dyeing technique just for the lining of their work.

・About the button

Ceramic buttons created in collaboration with ceramic artist Jingwen Wu. Formed and fired using the same process as ceramic art, the special metallic element "uranium" creates a unique texture with a vintage, metallic feel. To maintain uniformity in shape and size, only two of these precious buttons can be produced per day.
