・About the fabric

This unique woven pattern, conceived with "terraced rice paddies" as its motif and exuding a natural rhythm, is a wool-linen blend fabric produced at a long-established jacquard factory in Aichi Prefecture. It combines the softness of wool with the crispness of linen, exquisitely blending the breathability of linen with the warmth of wool. By combining different natural materials, it creates a three-dimensional texture with profound depth.

・About the lining (nouchi exclusive)

For this nouchi exclusive, silk dyed using the "Mountain dye" technique is used for the lining. Mountain dye is an ancient dyeing technique passed down by the Dong ethnic minority group living in Guizhou Province, China. They gather plants from the mountains and fields and use them to dye their clothing. Stovaigh visited them and entrusted them with silk from Sichuan, the designer's hometown, to dye using this ancient technique, solely for the lining of this piece.

・About the button

Ceramic buttons created in collaboration with ceramic artist Jingwen Wu. Formed and fired in the same process as ceramic production, these buttons achieve a unique texture with a metallic, vintage feel due to the effect of the special metallic element "uranium." To maintain uniformity in shape and size, only two of these precious buttons can be produced per day.
