・About the fabric

A special herringbone pattern wool x cotton blend fabric produced in Aichi Prefecture.
Stovaigh improved and reconstructed the warp and weft yarns based on manufacturing methods passed down through a long-established textile factory founded in the 20th century.
Furthermore, a special washing process in Gifu Prefecture creates a unique napped texture, adding even more softness and elegance to the cotton and wool textures.

・About the lining (nouchi exclusive)

For this nouchi exclusive, the lining uses silk dyed with "Mountain dye." Mountain dyeing is an ancient dyeing technique passed down among the Dong ethnic minority who live in Guizhou Province, China. They gather plants from the mountains and fields and use them to dye their clothing. Stovaigh visited them and entrusted them with silk from the designer's hometown of Sichuan, commissioning this ancient dyeing technique solely for the lining of their works.
